Institutional Effectiveness

MISSION

The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is to advance Barber-Scotia College’s strategic goals by establishing data governance practices. These practices engage campus partners in equitable assessment and guide data-informed decision-making to drive the institution’s initiatives forward.

FUNCTIONS

OIE accomplishes its mission through the following activities:

  1. Conducting Academic Program Review (APR)
  2. Annual assessment of student learning outcomes and operational effectiveness across academic and administrative units
  3. Utilizing data analytics, including university data analysis and forecasting
  4. Engaging in institutional planning such as strategic planning and institutional assessment planning
  5. Developing and administering surveys such as Campus Climate Survey, Campus Experience Survey, and Graduate Senior Survey
  6. Providing oversight for accreditation efforts
