Dr. Edward Alexander

Dr. Edward Alexander is a graduate St. Croix, Central High School. He began his higher educational journey at Barber-Scotia College, which is a historically black college located in Concord, North Carolina on a soccer scholarship. Dr. Alexander received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. He pursued his education at the University of Phoenix and achieved a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Global Management. He continued his educational excursion at Capella University and acquired a Doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership and Management. Dr. Alexander graduated with distinction which included a dissertation titled “Creating an International Recruitment and Marketing Plan at a Historically Black University.
As a result, Dr. Alexander has over two decades of higher education experience in student affairs and enrollment management. He has worked at both two- and four-year institutions in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, as well as the US Virgin Islands. He served at various colleges and universities where he provided for the enrollment needs of all students, particularly the international student population. During his tenure, he served as the institution’s Designated School Official (DSO) at the two-and four-year institutions. He then served as Director of Enrollment Management, Corporate Education Liaison, Director of Admissions, and a Registrar. In addition, he served as Director of Admissions and Registrar at the University of Virgin Islands.
Dr. Alexander is passionate about helping students reach their highest potential in life. He enjoys analyzing student enrollment data as well as overseeing the enrollment management process. He is an advocate for student success and believes that he is a catalyst for making a difference in the lives of students . He believes that higher education is the key ingredient to upward mobility and receiving student success.
Dr. Alexander has a wealth of knowledge and higher education experience. He has fostered students for over two decades, and his commitment to student success has helped empower students toward the path of completion. He is presently serving as the Associate Vice Provost of Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions at the University of the Virgin Islands.
