Board of Trustees, Barber-Scotia College
A dedicated leader and advocate, Dell McCormick brings nearly three decades of experience in youth development, community transformation, and business leadership. Born and raised in High Point, NC, Dell overcame adversity to become the first in his family to attend college, earning a B.A. in English from Barber-Scotia College in 1997.

In 2006, he became the Executive Director of the Macedonia Family Resource Center, a 23,000-square-foot facility focused on education, family support, and economic mobility. Beyond his nonprofit work, Dell is the Owner/Operator of Diverse Products Suppliers, Inc., an MBE-certified business, and an author of Escaping The Maze – Sharing The Blueprint, which highlights strategies for success and community impact. He has served on numerous boards, including the High Point Kiwanis Club, YMCA, United Way’s Children’s Initiative, and the National Alumni Association of Barber-Scotia College.
Dell is married to Naquita Brewington-McCormick, and together they cherish their daughter, Paighton Blythe McCormick, whom Dell considers his greatest accomplishment. An avid sports fan, he enjoys Carolina Basketball, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Boston Celtics.
As a proud alumnus and trustee, Dell is committed to advancing Barber-Scotia College’s mission, leveraging his expertise in leadership, education, and business development to help shape the institution’s future.
