Barber-Scotia College offers multiple admissions pathways designed to serve a wide range of students. Please review the information below to determine which application is right for you:
For individuals applying as:
- First-time college students (no prior college enrollment)
- Transfer students (previously attended another college or university)
- Readmit students (former Barber-Scotia students returning to complete their degree)
For adult learners, professionals, and non-traditional students seeking continuing education, career advancement, or certificate programs.
Barber-Scotia College Admissions Policy and Requirements
Barber-Scotia College has an Open Admissions Policy and does not require SAT or ACT test scores. All applicants—Freshman, Transfer, and Readmit—must complete the following admissions process:

Submit a completed Barber-Scotia College application along with the non-refundable $25 application fee
(Readmit students are exempt from the application fee) -
Provide proof of U.S. citizenship and residency

Submit official final high school or GED transcripts

Must be sent directly from your high school or GED provider

Transcripts must be sealed and mailed or hand-delivered, or sent electronically via Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse

Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended*

Out-of-State Residents
Currently, Barber-Scotia College is not accepting any students who reside outside of North Carolina. If you want to be considered for future acceptance, please complete the Request Information form. In the message section, please indicate, Out-of-State Resident.
