B-SC Sabers Basketball Academy
Barber-Scotia College is proud to announce the kick-off of the Sabers Basketball Academy. The purpose of the academy is to provide quality instruction to young athletes in a fun and competitive environment built on Christian principles. Our staff will take great pride in teaching the fundamentals of the game of basketball while promoting sportsmanship and a team first attitude.

AKA's to host Health Fair
The members of Lambda Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, in Concord, North Carolina are sponsoring a Family Day and Health Fair on the campus of Barber-Scotia College on Saturday May 16, 2009 from 10:00 am until 2:00pm. This health fair has been planned to provide the low-income children and their families, in the Logan community and surrounding communities. During the Health Fair, health service providers will be offering blood pressure screenings, dental health screenings for adults and children, tools for eliminating stress, mammogram screening for women, and fitness and nutrition wellness.
Personal safety by the Concord Police Department. We will be doing our best to provide services to each family that attends that will enhance their personal and family health. The Health Fair will also facilitate support of the "family", as we will provide a variety of fun activities that parents and their children can participate in such as relay races, dance lessons, and family exercise demonstrations. Our goal is to provide participants with information that they can use to control their health while enjoying a Saturday with their children.
