Barber-Scotia Alumi Association
The Barber-Scotia College Alumni Association, through its national
officers and local chapters, fosters a spirit of association among its
members and advances the mission of the College. The Association also
supports the ongoing efforts of various College programs that
contribute to creating a strong connection to Barber-Scotia College
among its members.
The Alumni Association has a wonderful history of service to the
College, rich with tradition and volunteerism. There are sixteen formal
chapters and we intend to expand this number. If you do not live close
to a formed chapter, then always contact the Alumni Office and we will
connect.
A variety of events are held including phon-a-thons, sports nights,
awards dinners, career nights, and cultural affairs. Literally hundreds
of alumni volunteers donate their time and talents in order to make
these events successful.
The Office of Alumni Affairs welcomes new volunteers and new ideas! If
you do not already donate your time for alumni activities, we hope you
will consider becoming an alumni/ae volunteer. We think you will find
it very rewarding. Please contact us at jwashin@bellsouth.net for more
information on volunteer opportunities.
Have you moved? Please drop us a line at jwashin@bellsouth.net and let
us know! Be sure to include your name and class year.
Thank you!
The 1867 Society Gala
“In 2004 NAABS, Inc. established the 1867 Society to provide an annual fundraising event for Barber-Scotia College and to recognize those persons who generously give their financial support to the College. Since April, 2005 NAABS, Inc. has hosted an annual 1867 Society Gala to induct new members into the Society. The next 1867 Society Gala is scheduled for April 25, 2009. Pledges are still being accepted for the 2009 class of 1867 Society members.”
